Welcome to the Chief Mary Bernard Memorial Women's Shelter, where we provide a safe haven for women fleeing domestic violence or facing homelessness. Our mission is to empower women by giving them back their voice and supporting them in their journey towards healing and independence.

Our shelter opened in July of 2007, it was named after the first female chief on Lennox Island. Chief Mary Bernard has been well known to go above and beyond to help others
Our Services
We offer a range of services including
personalized case planning, engaging individual and group programs, temporary accommodation, and access to community resources.
